Day 6 in Aomori

This is getting really frustrating! Every day follows the same pattern. We tried and we tried and we were well prepared. But still not the result we expected. An important win against Italy in the morning draw (12-1) but then. Good-bye to semifinal after an unexpected loss against Czech. They really played great curling (and with some luck) and we missed crucial shots and were completely out of luck. But we have to stay focused. An important last game tomorrow against Russia. Important for the Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010. Every country collect points from the worlds 2007, 2008 and 2009 and the top ten countries will be represented.

Day 5 in Aomori

Once again, one really good game and one bad... We played Japan at 15.00 hr and we was back to normal quality. 10-6 and we controlled the game from the first to the last end. But in the evening draw, game against Denmark and nothing went our way (have you heard it before?). We were down 1-8 after the 5:th end and close to give up. But we kept on fighting and it payed off. It came down to last stone and some pressure on Denmark. But 4:th Dupont showed why they were in the top of the Leaderboard. Goodnight!/Team

Day 4 in Aomori

Summary: Nothing went our way. A really tough loss against Switzerland 4-8 after being 6-4 before last end. And followed by another loss against Germany. We played OK in this game but was one or two points down all the game. But it was close. It came down to an extra end and a dramatic last stone. But the feeling in the team is still optimistic. Tomorrow is a new day and we promise to go 110% in the games against Japan and Denmark. Goodnight!/Team

The summary from day 3 should be OK. We played Canada in the morning draw. Not our "normal" level and the win for Canada was without discussion 5-7. A 1 hour break for lunch and back to the arena again. Game against USA and a strong performance from our team, yes!. Result 7-3. /Team

Lunch and then countdown to the first game against China. It was a 7-6 win followed by another win against Scotland in the evening draw 7-3. A good start! /Team
